Simon Evans: Fringe Magnet

Simon Evans: Fringe Magnet

Off The Kerb Productions

Simon Evans’ dry wit is incredibly engaging in what is essentially an hour long rant from a highly opinionated man. Evidently very comfortable despite many of the seats being unoccupied, he makes a good point when he says “standing out at the fringe is like going to war and being called a serial killer”. Circling round a general theme of austerity, his volume increased as he talked about things which irritated him, and at times there was a slight tendency to digress and ramble. Overall, however, Evans was a delight to hear, and obviously very sharp, playing off his audience depending on what aroused the most reaction. His opinions may not appeal to all but are definitely amusing.
