Take One: Action Film Festival

Scotland’s film festival on global action returns for another year at the Edinburgh Filmhouse in what promises to be another exciting blend of cinematography and issues of global concern. Containing Scottish and UK premieres, remastered rare classics, Q&As and debates, the festival, which is now in its third year, is trying to use cinema as a means to reach a wider audience and promote awareness of much of the overlooked global problems concerning topics such as climate change and poverty. Highlights include a screening of the Palme D’or nominated drama Bread and Roses which celebrates its 10th anniversary and the UK premiere of Michael P Nash’s powerful documentary on climate change: Climate Refugees.
