Hartshorn-Hook Productions impress once again with the latest addition to their programme of musical shows. Backed by the ten-piece Memphis Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Elvis (played by Brian Fisher) took us on a rollercoaster ride through some of the greatest hits which had everyone in the crowd bopping their heads and clapping their hands. Hard-hitters, such as ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and ‘Hound Dog’, are brilliant, with our man successfully capturing Elvis’ raw sound, though sadly the more tender songs are let down by a slightly average voice from Fisher. Nevertheless, this is an excellent attempt to capture the essence of a much loved king that should appeal to anyone who enjoys live music, not just Presley fans.
